Do these ideas concern matters of fact – do they rest on matters of experience and observation?
Question 2:
Do these ideas concern a relationship between ideas?
Perhaps the press should be required to study Hume before graduation, or employment, or putting pen to paper or fingers to keys?
The benefit anticipated by such a practice does assume, however, that the individual members of the press actually care about truth in their reporting - something we see little evidence of.
