Dodging Britney

I find myself quite thankful that my 9 year old niece dodged the ubiqitous and morally forlorn Britney Spears in favor of Hilary Duff. This review of Duff's newest cinema outing seems promising as well.

The nice quote from Duff:

"I choose roles that are a little bit more mature without abandoning a younger audience. They are really important. I think a lot of people don't realize that
and they sit around and say, 'I want to do this, and I want to show this.' It is really important not to abandon them because they are going to grow up with you. I think this movie is more mature. It does show a different side of me."

Nice way of saying "I have thus far decided not to base my fame on how I look in a swimsuit." Now, if she can just stay off the FHM and Maxim covers, we might even be able to call it character.
