Gay Marriage Takes a Beating

All eleven states offering them passed amendments to their constitutions banning gay marriage and affirm that marriage is between a man and a woman. Most by a 3-to-1 margin, some by a 6-to-1 margin. Even liberal Oregon passed the ammendment 2-to-1.

Seems a quite powerful rebuke. Some, like Ohio, actually went farther and banned civil unions as well.

Social issues would seem to have been critical to Bush's win. Another Rove rabbit.
